The Guinea Pig As a Pet Review

Well, there comes a time in your life when every new person you meet becomes utterly predictable and has no new value or fun to add to your life. Or not? I don't know or care really, maybe. Anyway, to proceed with this specific stream of thought without further unnecessary contemplation which would obstruct this perfectly normal and fluid introduction to a new review, and to not get interrupted anymore with second thoughts, because I have to be consistent and readable, then you decide it is time for a change.. of species. Not in a sexual way of course, unless you tend to become famous by exploring your physical and mental limits.

Cheap Weather Stations Review

I mean, I would really need to know what temperature is outside my cozy den when I wake up so I know what to dress and how to behave. Don’t really expect me to actually peek my head through the window, that would be insane. And it would be good to know about relative humidity also. And the pressure. And the moon phases. And wind, my god, the wind.

Cheap Weather Stations Review

So what if the weather data on this thing is made up, based on some random numbers algorithm? All I need to get my dose of instant gratification when Internet is not nearby (>1.3m) is this:

Inside: 22C, 56%
Outside: 23C, 60%
Pressure: put_some_funny_number_here

AND of course, backlight. Regardless of environmental lightning, I can always dimm the artificial and daily lights so I could turn on this beautiful blueish feature.

AND one nice illustration of a frog wearing a hat. It just doesn't cut it without that frog.

Sony PRS-T1 e-ink ebook reader review

Horizontal strikes again. Thinking about reading but in fact more interested in hacking new tech gizmos so that they could be something they are not initially designed for:

Sony PRS-T1 e-ink ebook reader review

First lets throw some facts across the air:
  1. E-ink readers ARE NOT, repeat, NOT tablets
  2. Tablets are the main culprits for slowing back the advance of the the e-ink devices.
  3. Very large number of people in the world are idiots.
  4. Roses are red. Or not.
  5. E-ink readers’ readability is far unreachable by any lcd/led/whatever screen.

Soon after getting my first e-book reader (NOT tablet), which was Prestigio, I realized that it is not rootable/hackable, and in another words, I would actually have to read books on it, which was of course unacceptable. Then I went to Graz, Austria, so we could enjoy the city wonders, but apparently there was a fairly big obstacle in our way - shopping centre Seiersberg with Mediamarkt in it, with Sony PRS-T1 in it.

Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard Review

Horizontal position. Wanna watch Walking Dead S03E02 on my XBMC. Wanna control it without excess moving:

Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard Review

It is not an easy task to make a laziest HTPC environment possible. One of the first actions towards that goal certainly involves acquisition of some kind of the wireless remote control to operate HTPC from distance, i.e. from big and soft couch. After trying Lenovo mini wireless keyboard and some remotes from ebay/dealextreme (review: nah), I managed to purchase Rii Mini on ebay auction (maybe 2 or 3 $ less then actual buy it now price, but nevertheless my feeling of financial savvy and victory was impeccable).

Specs that matter (theoretical):
Operating distance: less then 30 meter
Dimension: 152*59*12.5mm
Net Weight: 101g
Package dimension: 189 x 95 x 45mm
Package weight: 250g

Let's get to the important parts of the story.
